Que Sera Sera (4 out of 5 stars)

Que Sera Sera is a family owned "Cajun-American" restaurant located in Fondren - a historic neighborhood in Jackson nestled in an area between State Street and Old Canton Road. Boasting a New Orleans-style brunch every Saturday and Sunday, Happy Hours, and more, the restaurant is open seven days a week for diners.

In addition, the restaurant features live music on its patio (BYOB), primarily during Fondren After Five (1st Thursday of the Month).

While we haven't had time to review all the dishes on the menu, the red beans and rice were amazing. The dishes are on the higher end of what you might pay at a chain restaurant like Applebees, but once you see the size of the servings and taste how mouth-watering they are, you'll see why a $9 plate of Red Beans and Rice is worth it. I had my red beans and rice with fresh tomatoes, cheese and sausage. It was perfectly cooked, and I left satisfied. A friend ordered his with shrimp, and was quite happy with the presentation and the taste.

The service was good - our server was responsive and quick, even during the lunch hour. We received our orders correctly and quickly, and the restaurant has a history of good food and good service.

If you're in the Fondren area of Jackson, you owe it to yourself to try Que Sera Sera for lunch or dinner.
